The Diagnosis

Two hours later Chris was successfully taken off the mountain!

He arrived at Dixie Hospital around 10pm and was taken to "Trauma 4" where tests were performed and Chris was diagnosis with three broken ribs and a pneumothorax.

A chest tube was placed in his left side which was a "Violent Procedure" as the doctor promised it would be. (It made me cry to see Chris get stabbed with a spear to get the chest tube through the chest wall.)
Then he was taken to room #118 where he spent the rest of his Spring Break Vacation. He was known by all the doctors and the nurses (that heard his story) the miracle guy. Heavenly Father spared Chris. Truly we have seen a mircle in our lives.

Search and Rescue on the scene

This video shows a little of the "search and rescue" that was done to get Chris off the mountain.

This is Chris with the paramedics that came to help.

Our Miracle

This is a video of Chris making the climb. He made it to the top. We all cheered and then he started to come down when the knot slipped and Chris free fell about 30 feet. By a miracle, Chris did not hit the ledge, the metal sign, rocks or people when he fell. He landed on his left side mostly in the sand. When we ran to him his eyes and vision were zoned out but he sat up and looked around. I started to scream and thought for sure that Chris was paralyzed or that he would never be the same again. Aunt Amy took all the kids and said a prayer and Uncle Adam and Jesse gave Chris a priesthood blessing while my dad called 911.

Braden the Rock Climber

Braden is awesome! This was a hard climb and Braden was able to climb to the very top. Amazing! When he got down he said, "Mom, I can do hard things!" Good job Braden.

Spring Break Vacation

For Spring Break vacation, we went to Zions National Park.

The fun continues at Grandpa and Grandma Hintze's house on Sunday night when they are given ANOTHER Easter egg hunt. The kids think this is better than Halloween!

Easter at the Orme's

Easter is always a big holiday to celebrate. At Grandpa and Grandma Orme's, my kids went to the city's hunt and then that afternoon they had another Easter egg hunt given by Grandma. They swam in the hot tub and slept over with their cousins. The next morning, the Easter bunny brought more hidden surprises.
