New Years Eve Party

New Years Eve was great. We went to a movie at the theater. After we partied with all the Orme side- eating dinner, making crafts, playing games and sleeping over.
Fondue dessert is so yummy and so messy. Chocolate, carmel, fruit, candy, donuts. What could be better? At least that's what all these folks think.

Taylor's 1st Christmas

On Christmas Grandpa and Grandma Hintze were able to hold Taylor. This is the first time Taylor was held by anyone except the nurses and us. Everyone is excited for Taylor to get big and come home.

Christmas Pictures

I love Christmas! I thought it was fun when I was a kid but it is so much better as a Mom. I just can't wait for Christmas and wish it would never have to end when it is here.

Taylor wearing clothes

This was taken December 26th. She is looking big and healthy- at least her Mom thinks that she is geting big. She is 4lbs 2 oz. today. She is taking a bottle but doesn't always finish her 1 oz. of milk. In that case, they put the leftovers through her tube. Taylor still breathes quickly and will most likely come home on oxygen. We are anxiously waiting her arrival.

Some of my favorite pics of Taylor

Look how comfortable she looks in her isolette. It makes me want to squeeze her.
Taylor's three fingers fit around the small part of Chris' pinky.
This has been are second home for the last two months.

Introducing Taylor Nicole

Taylor Nicole was born on November 24th at 8:35pm. She weighed 2 lbs 14 oz. and 15 1/2 inches long. She was rushed to NICU where she will stay for the next two months or so. She came at 29 weeks and 5 days gestation so she was not ready to come out. We are grateful to the doctors and nurses that are able to keep her alive and well. We love you Taylor! Grow, grow, grow so that you can come home quickly.

While on bedrest I started cramping. The doctor was called. We waited for Chris to arrive and then I was taken to the OR. This is the delivery via C-Section. Taylor was breach so there was no other choice. When she came out there was no amniotic fluid at all. She was literally folded in half. She had bruises all over her from being so tight in my uterus. My placenta came out in shreds. The Neonatologist said that it was really good that she came out when she did.

Bedrest at 27 Weeks

On November 9th my "water broke" and I was placed in the hospital until I would have my baby two weeks later. Thank you to my mom and my mom-in-law and all those that kept tabs on me in the hospital. Truly everyone's visits and phone calls made it so that I could handle sitting in a room for that long. I think the best story was when I got out of the hospital one of the ladies in my ward said, " I knew you were home when the kids came to church again with their hair done". It was true. Chris just couldn't do the girls' hair. They came to visit in the hospital one Sunday and Paige's hair was a ratted mess. Chris said that that's about what her hair looked like at church that day. I about died.

Pagie and Her Moves

Help!

Chris and I, on the other hand, need some help. This is the only move we remember from our "dancing days".

Halloween Costumes

Chris and I were convicts. Thanks Janet for the costumes.

Katelyn dressed up as a "flapper dancer".

McKenzie is a flower.

Braden is Pooh and his cousin Brick is Tigger.

Aubrielle was "Fancy Nancy" and Paige was a bee. They are with their Grandma Orme.

Every year we have a Halloween Party at Grandma Orme's house. She has her house all decorated, a halloween dinner, a "witches brew" (homemade root beer) and halloween games and prizes. This is one of the highlights of our year!

McKenzie's 8th B-Day

McKenzie's 7th birthday party included eating pizza, cake & ice cream, playing games, a pinata, decorating cookies and watching a "Barbie" movie. Thanks to all her cute friends and family that supported her on this day.

Her cake was a team effort from her Dad and Mom. I bake the cake and color the frosting and then Chris actually does the decorating. He is such a wonderful husband. He always gets roped into all my projects. Thanks Chris!

Tanner Flats

This is one of the best hikes in Utah. There are huge rocks that you climb over to get up the moutain. A little scary and a little tough for a pregnant women that is lifting her two year old up every large rock but it was fun and adventurous. The fall colors were beautiful. Thanks Natalie for a fun day.

Black Island Farms

Katelyn (in the pink sweater) and Paige at Black Island Farms. This is a fun fall festivity. The preschool kids have a hayride, pick a pumpkin, slide on slides, ride this "train" and walk through a corn maze. My kids loved every moment. I loved it also. Fall is the perfect season.

Chris' Mission Friend

While Chris was on his mission in the Dominican Republic he baptized this man, Rafael. Chris had an exciting opportunity to see him again on General Conference weekend. Rafael and his son came to our house to visit with Chris and his family. Rafael is still strong in the church and bore his testimony to us that he was so grateful for the church in his life and grateful for Chris and for the excellent missionary that he was. It was a precious moment for all of us.

Katelyn & her friends

Katelyn is in the pink and Paige is the bee. It was so cute when Katelyn and her friends had their own little "dance recital". You can see their audience was the stuff animals on the couch.

Starfishes at Seaworld

This was a pretty cool experience to touch a real starfish. It freaked me out a little bit. Good thing I have tough kids.

The famous tube rides

Just a quick peek of the kids on the ride that got them soaked!!

Highlight of Seaworld

The only time I have ever got teary-eyed at the Shamu show. Braden is the luckiest kid around.

Hintze Family Reunion

The Hintze's had a family reunion up in Midway, UT at a cabin. I think there were about nineteen kids under the age of 10yrs. We had fun shopping, golfing and having a "Tea Party" with Grandma. Here is a peek of the girl party.

Two broken limbs in three days!!

Paige was jumping on the tramp with her older brother Braden on Saturday, July 3rd when "snap". Down she went and off to the doctor Chris went. While we celebrated the Fourth with a BBQ and fireworks, Paige was getting x-rays and a splint. (The next Wednesday she got her cast put on at Primary Children's.)
Three days later, Tuesday night, Braden was swinging on the swings and decided to try a fancy trick to impress his friends and "snap" a buckle fracture on his wrist. We took him to get a cast on Wednesday morning and then took Paige to get her cast Wednesday afternoon.
We thought all hope was lost to go to Lake Powell in a month- two kids in casts that can't be in the sand or water. But thankfully we got both casts off- Paige three days before and Braden the night before. We are blessed!!
